The goal of PHDWay Ltd is to provide a solid base for a high level academic social network based around the social aspects of acaemic life. The theoretical and technological basis of this site has been build around my 2007 literature report for my last year of my Masters programme.

The goal of Education Made Easy (Ed-ME) is to provide educational software to lecturers. After a weak start the goal shifted to provide software services in general, from which the webservice TipiT.to arose without my ongoing participation.

Followed a scientifically oriented course list including math, biology, chemistry and physics. Graduated third of class.

First year undergraduate advanced programming course. Assigned to check the assignments made by the students during the 7 weeks of the course.

First year undergraduate programming course. Assigned to check the assignments made by the students during the 14 weeks of the course.

First year undergraduate AI project. Involved in designing project assignments, manuals and software. Through various (new) didactic measures, which come down to proactively helping and monitoring the students, and forming the groups according to the level of the students (as measured by our individual ‘filter’ assignment), the project is one of the best regarded projects of the curriculum. Responsible for the design and instruction of an assignment involving the use of Semantic Networks to analyze the Internet Movie DataBase.

Second year undergraduate AI project, for about 150 students. Project about detecting what emotion is present in a movie. Project is split up into 3 assignments (A,B,C) which took seven weeks to complete. Was responsible for developing software and manual for part of assignment B. Closely involved in kick-off of project, instruction of assignment theory, and organization of project.

FourStarters is a weblog written by a group of (former) students detailing their experiences around university and their exit strategies from it. Two are in startups, two live in The Netherlands, one has a new start in London, the other in Berlin.

Representative for the Delft University of Technology at multiple Algorithm Programming Contests including the Dutch final in 2004, 2005 and 2006, and the North-West European final in Sweden in 2004. Highest ranking was a second place at the Delft Algorithm programming contest.
